Yes, ears are kind of weird, and toes too, I think. Especially the pinky.

@Pat hmm fingers have a golden ratio to one another for bone size. and the hand has a golden ratio from the fingertip to the forearm. so the mneumonics aren't too bad.
the ear doesn't have a real easy way to be like "this area is 1/3rd of that"

It's worse than that...
Old people's ears just keep growing so they don't even have any consistent proportion through a lifetime. Plus some of them have the earlobes attached and some don't.
