據美國《ABC》報導,美國麻省理工學院(MIT)學者威廉斯(Earle Williams)領銜的團隊近日發表研究證實,2020年3月至5月間,全球各地的「春雷」較2018、2019、2021同期間減少了19%,應是受到疫情隔離影響。
科學家認為,閃電、打雷與大氣中的懸浮微粒(aerosols)密切關聯,而因為疫情社會封鎖,人類燃燒石化燃料等行為減少,人為的懸浮微粒濃度大幅降低,也導致閃電、打雷的機率大幅降低。"
