Excited to hop on the train! I look forward to connecting with others to discuss exciting research, , , and any you are into at the moment.

@PhDMarie I'm a neuro major, but weirdly enough I enjoy listening to paelontology/evo bio podcasts. I cannot explain why lmao.

Loving ~
- I Know Dino
- The Primordial Soup Pot
- Common Descent

I irregularly listen to ~
- Nature Podcast (by the journal...)
- Quanta Science (from the online news site)
- All in the Mind (psychology show from australia's national broadcaster, ABC)
- Hidden Brain
- Big Biology
- Freakonomics Radio
- Probable Causation (by a crime economist interviewing other crime economists... Very academic, not general audience oriented IMO)

Might also recommend some science adjacent shows ~
- Secretly Incredibly Fascinating (a comedy show about everyday thinhs that are, well... Secretly incredibly fascinating LOL)
- FiveThirtyEight Politics (it's about US polling, can get punditty. But they start most eps with a good/bad use of polling segment,,, sometimes on some silly polls, always makes you think!)

Aaaaand given that you interview ppl, I might share the podcast which inspired me to pursue a biology degree ~ Tech Tonics. I don't think it runs anymore, but it interviews people working in healthcare technology/venture capitalism. I just thought the co-hosts had this electric energy to them, almost all the interviews were brimming with joy and humour and fun :)

@funkybrainjuice I hear you! Sometimes you just want to dive into the details of something that is totally out of your area of expertise. I have a soft spot for astrophysics even though I am a neuro person too. Thanks for your podcast recommendations! I'm also a fan of Hidden Brain and Nature Podcast, and I can't wait to check out some of the ones on your list I haven't listened to yet!

@PhDMarie ahhh don't feel pressured to! I just got excited because I love listening to podcasts and barely anyone listens to science podcasts bahah 💀💀💀 It's a small community 😩
