Threat Assessment
You have the world's lamest superpower. While other people were gifted with flight, laser vision, and magic, you got "threat assessment". At least that's what you call it. It's not like you're going to tell anybody else about it.
You're a unique power is the ability to see how dangerous someone is. This knowledge appears, only to you, as a number floating over their heads.
Look at a baby, you'll see a one. An average adult, a three. A Marine? Usually a five or a six. (1/).
Please stop using “mom” as an example of an unsophisticated user of technology. This reinforces harmful stereotypes.
Instead, I suggest using “congressperson”.

The best teacher I ever had was my 9th grade English teacher, who taught me how to write. So I gobbled up this essay by @brennacgray on essay writing and #ChatGPT at the university level.

Hearing about students using #ChatGPT to write their homework terrifies me. Not mainly due to not engaging in writing process that forces to gather, structure and articulate knowledge within nontrivial lingual constraints. It is a major problem, but it pales in comparison with sheer will to not engage in writing process.
Works written by #ChatGPT require students to write prompts, make few attempts to get a usable output, fact check, copy, stich outputs together with the rest of text... Ultimately it is still a lot of work to avoid work. This begs the question, why? I personally would rather write about X myself, than engage in the aforementioned process of asking a pile of tensors to spew tokens acceptable for my purposes.

Całość mogłaby być bardziej doszlifowana technicznie ale treścią jest to chyba ok starter dla osób które ledwie myślą o masce antysmogowej.
Jeśli są tam niedopatrzenia, to proszę zgłaszać, chętnie dodam do erraty.
Zastanawiam się skąd różnica w podejściu artystów wizualnych i, nazwijmy to, tekstowych (literatów, ale też np. eseistki, autorów artykułów prasowych, reportażystki) do tematu sztuki generowanej przez sieci neuronowe.
Artyści wizualni bardzo głośno wyrażają swoją krytykę. Artyści tekstowi mają na to natomiast totalną wyjebkę.
Gdybym miał zgadywać, powiedziałbym że różnica wynika z tego, że tekst znacznie częściej i powszechniej odbierany jest komunikatywnie, jako transmisja indywidualnej wrażliwości i percepcji autora.
Z wielu przyczyn nie planuję grać w Nier: Automata ale wiem, że jest sporo osób, które bardzo chciałyby przeczytać to, co miałbym do powiedzenia o tej grze.
Każda z tych osób może nakarmić moimi tekstami sztuczną inteligencję i potem wydać jej komendę "Napisz esej o grze Nier: Automata w stylu MistyPopa".
I sztuczna inteligencja wygeneruje im ten esej. Napisany moim stylem, z żartami i dygresjami w moim stylu. A nawet siedem takich esejów, w których w każdym ocena tej gry jest zupełnie inna, od negatywnej, poprzez mieszaną, obojętną aż po entuzjastyczno-pozytywną.
I super, tylko taka osoba nadal nie będzie wiedziała, co *ja* sądzę o tej grze. Bo moja opinia jest przyklejona do mojego mózgu i nie da się jej ekstrapolować poprzez reverse engineering (jest jakieś zgrabne polskie tłumaczenie tego terminu?).
So I have a very peculiar problem with #blender.
I have an over 50k frames long project with render times 1-3 seconds per frame. It is hard to optimize render time further but there is a hope. Project has many places with significant amount of consecutive identical final frames. It would be nice to be able to tell blender, that it has to render the frame once, then reuse it for f.e. next consecutive 200 frames. With my current encoder settings this would mean 20-30fps render speeds on such long consecutive still frames; a few seconds of rendering except a few minutes.
Is something like this possible?
