@ProfT you know, in most areas the general populous of cyclists ignores the rules creating a negative stigmata around the group as a whole from general society. Arguing the benefits is as effective as me arguing the benefits of ripping through the streets of various Asian cities on my CBR at 1am at speeds cars just aren't capable of.. the best safety is self awareness. Trying to influence society today is pointless, the only people that can be reached is the like minded cause they already agree with you..
@skanman breaking rules-I break them too. And so is every other road user-pedestrians, car and moto drivers, but the stigma is only on cyclists. Difference from motor traffic is that bicycles don’t kill anybody. Re. Influencing-that is a cynical POV. Even if I can’t make a difference I feel better if I try than if I don’t.
@ProfT there's a pretty big stigma on soccer moms, huge on motorcyclists, tuners, exotics, old people.. just keep safe and aware bro, the amount of smart people keeps declining, don't need to lose more. 👍
