@BrentToderian Zagreb Croatia- my commute is 8 km and 25 minutes by e-bike every day. Google says (and my colleagues agree) that it’s 18-50 minutes by car.

@Perowinger94 This is a display on my e-bike. It turns off ever time the bike is moving as not to distract the rider. Imagine if the same standard applied to cars?

Pedestrians, it should be our right to be distracted. It should be our right to walk and listen to music / look at the sky / cute dogs / snowflakes and not worry about getting killed. Nothing about that is dangerous except for CARS. Don't let them make you believe you are the problem.

@smokeygeo @prefec2 @gwagner and cars? This is my hometown- google estimates that a 13 km commute by car takes 26 minutes (best case) to more than an hour in worst case. So driving is either a couple of minutes faster, or are twice as slow as biking. So bikes are really the more practical option.
