32nd year in a row that citizens of Zagreb were surprised by roads closed for marathon race and comments sections filled by suggestions that it should be run in woods or along the river somewhere. Ok there were no comments sections 32 years ago but nevermind..
Traffic experts in Zagreb Croatia claim that the only solution for traffic jams is construction of underground.
Because all cities in the world that have underground don't have any traffic jams.

@Sustainable2050 to expand on analogy- after the incident there are two camps discussing how to prevent similar future accidents: one says let's limit the car speed via GPS to the legal limit and create cars that won't start unless the driver is sober; and the second arguing for cars equipped with AI that will predict the accident happening seconds before and brake and steer to avoid the building - which itself should be built to be car accident proof itself in the first place!
