Traffic experts in Zagreb Croatia claim that the only solution for traffic jams is construction of underground.
Because all cities in the world that have underground don't have any traffic jams.

> They say they're building the thing that will build the thing that will solve all of our problems, while they destroy the planet and run on data theft and labor exploitation, and they get Nobel prizes.

"The other day there was a story about people not being able to get to the airport because they were stuck behind other people waiting to get into the new mall. Do you know the problem? Too many cars. Why were there too many cars? Because there’s almost no other way to get to the airport or the mall. When you don’t give people other ways of getting around, everyone takes a car, and when lots of cars are together, that’s called traffic jam."

@MichaelPorter if you make the same mistake 175 times there is a name for that- and it's not being human.
@mcnees I liked Matter of everything - twelve experiments that changed our world by Susie Sheehy. Good balance between being clear to general and still explaining the subject matter.
@randahl in Balkans we have a saying: money is not a problem, there is no money :)
Paar- nema straha, Milanovićevom ciklusi, kaos, ne znamo što sve utječe na zagrijavanje i u kojoj mjeri, sve je to prirodno....

@mattsheffield just when I thought I heard it all. Of course it then follows that we are also guilty for all the problems in the society???
@Sustainable2050 to expand on analogy- after the incident there are two camps discussing how to prevent similar future accidents: one says let's limit the car speed via GPS to the legal limit and create cars that won't start unless the driver is sober; and the second arguing for cars equipped with AI that will predict the accident happening seconds before and brake and steer to avoid the building - which itself should be built to be car accident proof itself in the first place!
