macromedia fireworks was way better than photoshop. they cant make photoshop better though, since everyones used to it even if it was designed before people knew how to make things usable
@jk I was a Fireworks fiend back in the day. I use Affinity Photo these days - give it a try if you can break free of Photoshop.

Since adobe corp discontinued Fireworks, its really lost its edge...
@QuantumHemp @jk While I will always first look to FOSS for initial financial cost and future support reasons, GIMP and Inkscape are simply terrible in daily usability for me personally in comparison to commercial efforts (though I do still use both of them when I need to - they ARE powerful and more than capable, they're just inconvenient and ugly)
Krita and Blender are shining examples of as-good-or-better FOSS apps; GIMP and Inkscape are not.

As i always tell my hyper political friends, you vote with what you pay for.
So donating or contributing to GIMP and inkscape as better usable GUI apps is easy via collaboration and or private donations to devs.
On the other hand, With corporate closed source $$$$ softwarez you have very few options (except not buying it)...
Shareware (1990's) era software concept was best. But i agree there are few if any Linux #foss usable vector drawing apps.
Its a shame Macromedia/AdobeCorp didnt release firefox source codes! #latestageCapitalism
