Got a new coffee brewer from my wife - installed it yesterday and used it for my morning mug today.

Too weak. I need to finetune the settings. Problem is, how to do that when the first cup of coffee in the morning failed? How do I become human now?

2nd try - finer ground and slower drip-through. Sure, slightly stronger, but not the fullness of the old machine. However, looking at the amount of beans used it seems this machine was made for making Americana, not coffee.

That's for next time.

Alright, the americana guess was it. To make one morning mug of coffee it needs to be set to 2 cups of water and 4 cups of coffee to be ground at relatively fine setting. Normal drip speed.

Bad Philips.

(And the horror of having to tell the wife that I would not be using the present averted!)

@Romaq hahahaha! also, that looks exactly like the Melitta coffee maker I just replaced :D
