A reminder that the word "conservative" is now synonymous with "racist" and "extremist".
This is the case, in large part, because journalism uses the word so lazily (and IMO inaccurately) -- and thereby downplays the reality of what these people actually believe.
Since journalist are going to misuse the word "conservative" this way, they should be much clearer with their audiences what they mean by it.
(They won't, but it's worth asking.)

The Democratic Party refused to listen in 2016. as they refuse to listen today. They can't seriously think @jonathanpienews is "conservative?"
