I love seeing the organic vs algorithmic dissemination of posts. Somebody must have boosted one of my posts that happens to have a bunch of Australian followers, and suddenly I’ve got Aussies all up in my comments (which is a delight, I assure you). It’s an obvious progression through connections that feels somehow friendlier than a mysterious (from the outside) set of metrics that result in what seem like weird or random choices.

I have blame @Dennis1212 for seeing this post. He's much more on top of things than I am. Dennis is worth a follow just to see what trouble he's getting into! He's a great person to chat with. I agree with you and enjoy the organic relationships we form online. It's how I met my wife of nearly 20 years.
