Well, if bakeries can refuse gay clients, restaurants can refuse white "Christian" nationalists. Fair's fair.

WaPo: Restaurant refuses service to Christian group, citing staff ‘dignity’ washingtonpost.com/food/2022/1

@jeffjarvis They’ll figure out that it’s not so much that they’re religious, it’s that they’re using their religion to justify their own bigotry.

@Oviebird00 @jeffjarvis

Exactly.

They weren’t refused because they claim to be Christian, they were refused for the *actions* they take and support that the staff find personally injurious and offensive.

That’s very different from saying “We don’t approve of ‘Christians’,” and refusing them service.

Very.

@McPatrick @Oviebird00 @jeffjarvis They are from the Church of Having It Both Ways.

The group intends harm to the staff. Why must the staff be compelled to serve those who clearly intend the staff harm?

@Romaq @Oviebird00 @jeffjarvis

Because servants should just shut up and serve. Just like actors or athletes who step out of line and express an opinion that *isn’t* compliant with that that of white supremacist christianist nationalism should shut up and go perform.

@McPatrick @Oviebird00 @jeffjarvis That doesn't seem to work with me. I'm allergic to being made to shut up. I break out in a rash of noisy expression.

@McPatrick I'm governed quite easily... with a gun at my head and a boot on my neck. I just don't pretend otherwise. God... to be so damned old and cynical.
