In case people didn't notice, winter ended yesterday. I know this because a flock of 18 robins and a flock of about 80 cedar waxwings stopped in the back yard on their way north and told me about it. #birdwatching #cedarwaxwing #robin
@SETIEric I don’t know where you are, but we’ve had both all winter. It is currently 0 F outside.
@extrasuper We see flocks of waxwings for a week or two on their way through. We've got a few solitary resident robins (not enough water in summer to support their preferred food), but we only see them flocking during the migration.
We never have a real freeze, so we only get the wimps of either species passing through.
