Ancient social media
I've got my grandfathers #QSL cards. This is what social media looked like 99 years ago.
Someone handed me a plastic case of paper tape with a little manual. Haven't even figured out what machine they are for yet. #throwbackthursday
Since the vote was 13-2 in favor of mojito, and I am a believer in democracy, here is proof of mojito. I will attempt not to work tomorrow and Saturday.
Just an oddity to end the evening. This white bird, photographed a week ago in our back yard, is a gold-crowned sparrow, like the other birds in the picture. It's a leucistic sparrow rather than an albino as it does have some coloration on its wings and the eyes are not pink.
We've seen it a couple times since, but we don't expect it will live long, as every predator in the area can see it from far away.
So a toast to all the white sparrows among us. May you escape notice when necessary.
How's this for #throwbackthursday? OK, the picture was taken today, but the content is definitely old school.
