• Have I used it in the last year?
• Do I own another item that serves the same purpose?
• Is it required in the ritual that will stir the Old Ones to unleash their unspeakable wrath upon these pathetic gnats who call themselves humans?
• Does it spark joy?

LA Times reports that last night, hundreds of anti-Palestine protestors violently attacked pro-Palestine peaceful protestors.

Amazing how there was immediate law enforcement to stop peaceful protestors but nowhere near that speed to stop these violent extremists.🤔

I want to ask college administrators: When you look back at the history of protest in the United States, is "rules must be enforced at all cost" really the lesson you take?

Random observation: Photos I'm seeing today of American riot cops show them carrying straight-handle batons instead of the side-handle batons that have been more common.

Side-handle batons were adopted because they afforded ways of subduing suspects with reduced force. Also, side handles don't provide as much striking leverage, so are less likely to seriously injure people by striking.

Cops shifting back to straight batons could signal acknowledgement that their main goal is to hurt people.

@DJDarren The Verge did a documentary on this a while ago. I guarantee you will be very angry by the end of it.

Basically, back in the 1980s, there was a company called Sun Remarketing that built a business buying unsold Apple computers, refurbishing then, and supporting them.

They even went so far as to create new operating systems and upgrades for them.

Lots of people couldn't afford the latest Mac, but we're happy to buy last year's model.

Using a range of underhanded legal tactics, Apple deliberately put them out of business, resulting in thousands of working computers being deliberately dumped in a landfill.
