Anyone know of a privacy friendly alternative to Kindle?
I was just going to buy one, never register and keep it on airplane mode then sideload books via calibre from my pc but after reading this [article](nullsweep.com/kindle-collects-) I don't want to run the risk of having all my data still being stored & then sent when i forget to keep airplane mode off

@orci I'm a bit skeptical of Pocketbook. They say that they use usage data to give you personal recommendations. Personal recommendation sounds like tracking to me.

@ilyess @orci I'm skeptical too but its better than kindle & kobo according to mozilla foundation at least and it runs on linux which is a good sign, and id be using it completely offline

@STORM yeah, I gotta admit there aren’t any better alternatives that I know of.
