70 years ago, 3 papers appeared in @Nature under the title ‘Molecular structure of nucleic acids’. In an article in Nature today (link at end) @nccomfort and I shed new light on ‘what Watson and Crick really took from Rosalind Franklin’. This thread summarises our findings. 1/23

Although all attention to and is welcome this article @NewYorker left me baffled. Sperm appears 7 times, while egg(s)/oocytes appear 54 times. As a male researcher the section below is particularly wtaf-inducing

Found out who's responsible for the walnuts mysteriously appearing on my balcony, I think she uses the flowerpots for storing them 😅

Wow, great to see @ScienceMagazine giving attention to reproductive topics, even in a small scale! Also, love the illustrations.

Causes of infertility are diverse and can affect either or both partners.
They include:
· Lack of regular ovulation (the monthly release of an egg)
· Poor quality of semen or blockages of the male reproductive tract
· Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes
· Uterine abnormalities

Ok this is big.

Web of Science just removed the MDPI flagship journal IJERPH from their lists. This means IJERPH has no more an Impact Factor.

Why is this big? What are the implications? 🧵
