"Kill Hitler" is an unsurprising response to what one would do with a time machine. When the constant drumbeat for years has been that Trump is worse than Hitler, is anyone surprised at today's event?
I don't see surprise on the timelines from people who aren't Trump fans. I only see disappointment from many that the assassination attempt was not successful.

@SecondJon Trump supports the NRA and believes in gun ownership. Maybe he’ll develop more empathy with the victims of gun violence and their grieving families after being on the receiving end. Maybe the consequences of gun ownership will dawn on him too.
