So most nice apps won't be available via google playstore but only #fdroid, because devs don't want to package 2 different versions?

@paulfree14

Being a developer, I never published my apps at the Play Store but only on #fdroid .

To use app bundles, you need to give them your private key.

This gives them technically the ability to inject any code into your app.

But hey, what could go wrong?

Do you have a source about this private key requirement? Sounds like an obvious threat, too blunt and arrogant even for !

Also I'd like to know if the title was clickbaiting or this is actually an issue with : I do not use (disabled on my phones) but only @fdroidorg@mastodon.technology: does this change anything for their ?

@Shamar

Sure: read here about the need to give G. your private key, it is the official docs: support.google.com/googleplay/

It will not directly affect #fdroid, as #fdroid can only build apks, as far as I got it, and not app bundles.

But, as a dev, you end up with two distribution formats, should you also be on the Play Store.
