Things I think some of my Mastodon buddies disagree with me on, even though I’m always right:
Economics is a real science, which we’re getting better at over time (the sign of a useful science). Economists are people with lots of interesting insights. Ignorance of economics quickly leads you into dead-ends.
(Relatedly) People shouldn’t confuse rejecting capitalism with rejecting capital. Capital is useful! You should have some! If your community had more of it, you could do more things!
If you just want to cry out loudly "I reject #Capitalism!", sure: you can keep playing by its rules.
But if you want to FIGHT capitalism you NEED to challange its core rule that those who have more capital are those who can do more.
Otherwise you'd better become another Capitalist-fanboy.
