The state of art in #Informatics is depressing.

In 2021 there is no decent portable scripting language for #windows and #Linux (unless you can enable #WSL, but that's a strong assumptions in certain environments).

#Python 3 has become depressingly large and the standard library changes between minor versions in subtly breaking ways.

#Node just sucks.

#PowerShell that might feel the gap... cannot be executed with double click and for each script you need a companion bat and a companion sh.
