@pschwede A judge in India was banned from twitter for a post taken out of context (it was a an anti-nazi post but was seen as pro-nazi by mods). The Judge claimed he might take legal action and was moving over to mastodon. As a result a huge portion of the indian community is fleeing twitter for mastodon.

Since we are the largest instance in the directory that is not language specific, and our specific devotion to STEM, we are getting a large portion of the refugees.
