I'm currently reading The Art of the Deal by Donald Trump (written in 1987). I came across the following paragraph and thought how appropriate considering his recent administration.

@SmilingTexan a pretty bad take imho.
It’s true that everyone are entitled to their own act and opinion but don’t let that fact distracts you that “we live in a society which would criticized you for everything you would do”.
And saying “some people” are loser just because they’re criticizing you is kinda narcisistic isn’t it?

@deesapoetra IF they have or are doing something constructive and criticizing you, then yes that would be narcissistic, otherwise it's fairly accurate to call it out.

@deesapoetra it's also the "when you become successful" part, it definitely brings out the jealousy and envy in others

@deesapoetra the "life's losers" he refers to aren't necessarily the people criticizing, but the ones whose only sense of accomplishment come from trying to stop others

@SmilingTexan
How would we knew if someone are going to be hostile or stopping your movement?
We can’t know for sure what’s their intention and that’s the problem with people.
