@koyuchan@koyu.space Doesn't almost every modern browser disallow this nowadays?
Solution: HTTPS everywhere extension.
@Sphinx @SuperDicq yo, guess what's in my standard toolbox of extensions
HTTPs Everywhere
uBlock Origin
I don't care about cookies
Autoplay no more
SponsorBlock
Return YouTube Dislikes
Privacy Redirect
Lightning Reopen
@koyuchan@koyu.space @Sphinx@qoto.org I don't see the point of all these Youtube extensions, the site is awful and I don't even wanna bother fixing it. Just like use invidious or something.
@SuperDicq @Sphinx well, I like to have everything synced on all my devices so I still use Chrome and YouTube
@SuperDicq @Sphinx also let's face it: Webkit and Gecko have become awful over the years
@koyuchan@koyu.space @Sphinx@qoto.org I think Gecko has become awful because of Chrome. They are kinda forced to implement all this garbage or half of the sites will no longer work in Firefox: see Palemoon which uses a non-shit version of Gecko.
Solution: LibreWolf browser
@Sphinx @SuperDicq I wish LibreWolf was an alternative. Really. The problem is that I cannot use free software all around my software stack, because I am using what works and free software sometimes sucks.
@koyuchan@koyu.space @Sphinx@qoto.org I started my own company specifically to run a 100% free software stack.
@Sphinx @SuperDicq system76 sucks in two ways: they still ship non-free software bundled with their computers and are too american to be useful for anyone else on the world
@Sphinx @SuperDicq literally that, but actually shipping computers to Europe while trying to be as Linux-compatible and vanilla as possible
