For me, Twitter was "access" and "connection" --

To my academic fields from an earlier life and related ones -- it's enriched my retirement, reconnected me to who I am, and kept me sane during the pandemic.

To news, earlier & with better analysis & insight, from both reporters and experts (law, history, politics). Expert voices tethered to what was normal/real kept me going during the last 6 years especially.

Hope to re-establish that here, but so far it's been hard and slow.

I think it just take time to build up a good "following" list (For me it was around 150 or so) for things to start getting interesting.
