Today, I interpreted one of those “Run, Hide, Fight” videos as active shooter education for new hire training. This one was animated, and one scene ended with two hard hat-wearing employees holding a wrench and a fire extinguisher while standing over a bloodied, possibly dead shooter. The next scene was about the need for psychological care after a workplace shooting (the video took care to not say PTSD), and good god, what an absolutely stupid and absurd thing to have to interpret on a Tuesday for new employee training.

Wow. Defend yourself with a fire extinguisher. Neat.
