As a huge fan of Penn, I find this disheartening.
I notice that both Penn and Harvard are being led by women. I wonder if sexism played a role in these attacks?

@Mastopoet
How were they "attacked"?
Do you believe that they are anti-Semitic?
I did. I thought they were being badgered, and yes attacked. I think this says it all from the article...
“Over prepared and over lawyered given the hostile forum and high stakes, she provided a legalistic answer to a moral question, and that was wrong. It made for a dreadful 30-second sound bite in what was more than five hours of testimony.”
30 sec soundbites are great for performance politics, and these ladies campaign victims.
I agree it was a dirty trick, but the Democrats were on board too. That’s why I think it’s all bullshit performance politics so everyone can go back to their constituents and say “look at me! See how I’m not a racist! See how I’m the good guy!” Give me a freaking break!
It shouldn’t have been up to the university presidents to call bullshit. It should’ve been up to ANYONE on that committee possessing a fucking conscience!
I hear you. I'm fed up with the political B.S. as well. It's exhausting. It's dividing people/families/friends and countries.
@SpinozasHeresy @Mastopoet
I understand the GOP was up to their tricks (as usual ) but it would not take me a second to denounce *any* call for genocide. They should have been prepared for dirty tricks.This is a terrible time in history (referring to the rise of authoritarianism) and people in positions of responsibility need to be prepared to deal with the manipulative tactics thrown at them.
