We’ve been sold the “great man” for well over a century. Alone. Resolute. One of those did not ignite fusion for the 1st time last week. Our western myths gloss over that the first transcontinental railroad was financed and subsidized by federal and state governments. We forget westward expansion was fueled by the Homestead Act (free land).
