@stokes My formative years were 85 and 86, but mainly because Sundays were regularly on hold because Dad "had to" watch the GP. 1984 was a blur, but felt like Prost was always winning by a mile.
@Spinybadger Haha. My Dad wasn't into it, hence the "late" start for me until I discovered it for myself. My kids are going to say the same thing about "Dad had to watch the GP" as that's defined about 20 of their Sundays each year throughout their life! 😂
@stokes My dad is proper old school. Was going off to Brands Hatch with his friends in the 60s, just for the thrill of it. He's no mechanic, but could still talk for hours about what Colin Chapman did with some of his Lotus models.
It's been one of our closest points of contact all my life. And now with my kids in turn.
