@LouisIngenthron Tons of them... Years ago the first crypto crash was caused by US regulations that prevented the use of crypto in ordinary transactions (so you cant use it in stores int he US)... more recently regulations have made it illegal for my bank, one of the biggest legitimate actors in the crypto world, to stop supporting crypto. To quote a representative from the bank:
"As a result of the evolving regulatory environment and the uncertainties around the crypto market in the U.S., we’ve taken the difficult decision, together with our U.S. banking partner, to suspend access to cryptocurrencies through Revolut in the U.S."
Sadly the USA has went out of its way to regulate crypto out of existance and create exactly this environment, where it is virtually illegal to hold or use crypto so that only those who dont care about what is legal is left using it. This has been a very clear and obvious pattern out of the US government in an attempt to kill crypto.
So that shrieking windbag Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has admitted she is openly coordinating with Trump to keep an “impeachment inquiry” into Biden open for as “long and excruciatingly painful” as possible. This is the real “weaponization” of the government: going after the President with absolutely no evidence, solely for political points.

ICYMI, this isn't the fist time Green has called out companies for profiting rather than bringing cures to people:
In July, he pointed out Johnson & Johnson's patent thickets were keeping TB generics from low- and middle-income countries

@Frances_Coppola Indeed, their now legendary legal legerdemain.
Legal legerdemain: how the pressure group Sex Matters redefines part of the Equality Act 2010 to deny trans and non-binary children rights the legislation was intended to protect. https://coppolacomment.substack.com/p/legal-legerdemain
@sciencebase My eyes see the word but my brain reads 'deionised' every time.
@sciencebase The word wasn't mentioned but that's what it looked like. The transform is a 'displacive' one which doesn't break any bonds but distorts to another crystal structure.
@sciencebase Just watched a vid of a virus injecting its DNA. The syringe 'squashes' due to its material transforming like steel does when you quench it. Incredible one-way event. We don't really know much about nature at all yet.
@sciencebase It's more like vibrate, really. If it's defensive it is a bit feeble. Can't see a Blue Tit even noticing. But things like that aren't often a waste of time, I guess.

@sciencebase I was taught to call them "Jinny Spinners" which is more suitable for the spiders really. We get loads of those as well and their webs make the place look like a Adams Family set. Have you noticed how they tremble when you touch them?
@sciencebase I gather so, but all mine look the same and show off by hanging down by one leg from the ceilings.
@sciencebase Do you get Crane Flies in actinic traps? Little bleeders love it inside at night but they are all boringly alike. Is there anything good about them?
@sciencebase Nicked it from LinkedIn,, so not sure of origin.
