I feel like it's important to remember that things are better, but they're not where they need to be this Jr day.

Doctor King was a famous proponent of anti-bigotry in all forms. He was a powerful supporter of my people, the Jewish People. Likewise, many Jews at the time noticed the very real parallels between our history and those of black Americans.

I want to remind my often insulated American Jewish Friends that you are Jewish first to everyone who isn't Jewish. Black Americans know what that is like- being Black first before anything else.

We remain natural allies and should be supporting each other far more than we are. Don't forget the Ghettos. Don't forget the way the media portrays those who are aren't part of their mainstream.

Don't forget that we are brothers, because we know what can happen when a people are treated as second class. To the White People/WASPY Majority we are exactly the same.

Peace and Love to all my brothers and sisters who struggle to be recognized as the fantastic human beings they are. Let's keep moving forward together.
