I shouldn't be surprised, but I am a little surprised by some of the outright racism I encountered today on Mastodon.

I mean, I'm on a free speech instance myself, so I'm not afraid of uncomfortable content or conversations. I actually rather enjoy conversations with people I don't agree with- it's a good way to see a wider view of the world.

But, man. Some people are really angry and are somehow finding answers in utter, confusing bullshit.
