currently writing out Old Town Road for solo piano in 12/8 time, AMA

once you've written a certain number of duplets in your 12/8 piece it starts to feel like you should prolly just started in 4/4, but I'm not a God Damn Coward

I know duplets in 12/8 can be written as dotted eighth notes (like how dotted quarter notes are basically the 4/4 beats), but I staunchly refuse to do this either. let me repeat: I Am Not A Coward

poll: should I "swing" the eighth notes of Old Town Road to fit it into this 12/8 framing, or should I write all the duplets and just embrace the polyrhythms?

[ ] idk swing is cool
[ ] POLYRHYTHM
[ ] what does this mean

@jacethechicken Transpose whole song into Locrian Mode. :awesome:
