@Glitches@spinster.xyz You should absolutely be allowed to be comfortable with who and what you are. People who are fighting for equality should, likewise, see that fact and support it.

Unfortunately, people are very much tribal and I'm not sure that is simply a social construct- I feel it may be one of those instinctual survival strategies that we'll need to actively become aware of and fight against.

If you don't quite fit into the tribe, you face a fate of living at the periphery and that is sometimes worse than being actually thrown out completely from the group. The anxiety and doubt it creates can be gnawing.

For whatever it's worth, I personally think you're a neat lady. :)
