There are some days I wish I could move to Europe and live there, but I have no idea what I'd do for work... or how I'd get like a visa or citizenship somewhere that direction. Gotta have the healthcare and all the rest, you know?

Just kind of tired of some of this Israeli bullshit.

@Surasanji there are supposedly a lot of young Israelis in Berlin working for startups (at least I did read a news headline to that effect some time ago).

Contact the local jewish orgs, perhaps (e.g. ikg-wien.at/?lang=en for Vienna) to get an overview, and the relevant embassies for all your bureaucratic needs?

Feel free to DM me with you skills/line of work and I can at least give you a rough idea whether there's jobs to be found.

@cm Well, I'm not sure I'd call myself a 'young israeli'. I'm US born, emigrated to get healthcare and found some zionism along the way. :P I have no problem letting the world know my skills.

I've worked primarily in English speaking customer service positions, typically management, and for the last 10 years or so entirely on the internet. Chat/Phone/Email. I have worked as a corrections officer. I've worked in manufacturing (Ie: Industrial) assembling nuclear fuel assemblies. I worked in marketing, online casinos, all sorts of that stuff.

@Surasanji Berlin and startups would probably be a fit for that skillset; Vienna's got some startups too, but Berlin seems to be the hot spot. I ain't got much of a clue about the rest of Europe... but in general, you might be trading zionism with increasing antisemitism, especially if you're wearing a kippah; people have been assaulted in the streets.

@cm Naw, I'm not religious. Won't be the first time I've dealt with antisemitism, either. Grew up in the South in the USA, so. More of the same.

@Surasanji Immigration wise, I think most of the EU countries are pretty restrictive, now that all the cheap labor can be hired from the poorer regions of the EU. Various countries do have exceptions for skills that are sought after, but that might be a lot of bureaucracy, for Austria e.g. see bmeia.gv.at/en/austrian-embass
