The disease is bipolar- like diabetes of the brain. The chemicals up there are all fucky.
My life without meds is numbness and sadness with periods of explosive energy. It's a fucking nightmare, to be completely honest.
With meds I can feel emotions and not be afraid to be pulled down into true despair. I can be happy without fear of spending a month's worth of money because I was 'having fun'.
My life is improved by this medicine. Period.
@Surasanji @11112011 @moonshine @p @sadladpress @BarefootWitch @Lennart @georgia bipolar is bad but i'm honestly not convinced that drugs fix it in the long term. People usually become unhinged due to changing drugs or dosage. At least that's been my observation is that drugs make it worse
