You are the one who came into this conversation with a claim.
As this is a debate, the onus is on YOU to defend that position. It isn't up to me to prove my position based on yours. I don't need to prove that medications work because I didn't step forward with the claim they didn't..
Imagine thinking the onus is on someone to prove that medicine *doesn't* work. LOL that's exactly the kind of back asswards philosophy that psychiatry requires to exploit its dumb loser patients.
"here take this pill. There's no evidence it cures anything, but just take it anyway"
Actually with a lot of psych meds, there is pretty good evidence now that they don't improve anything. Particularly with SSRI antidepressants. No better than placebo at treating depression.
There are some neurological disorders that may benefit, but for the most part it's garbage and overall psychiatry does more harm than good.
