@masterofthetiger@theres.life which, by the way, is one reason I have a lack of respect for some Republican law makers who say they think Ayn Rand is fantastic and agree with her views, but then are scary anti-choice.

@masterofthetiger@theres.life Yeah, but in pure libertarian thought (like with Ayn Rand) abortion needs to be legal.

@Saederup92 So, I guess the only answer is to move into a house in the woods.

@masterofthetiger@theres.life for sure, this is a really complicated issue that goes way beyond a binary right/wrong choice. Unfortunately, as with many such polarizing issues a lot of people will gather 'just enough' information to make their decision and then go live in the echo chamber.

My personal feeling is that the choice should be there. That the government doesn't have the right to legislate this sort of procedure.

That being said, were I involved in the potential creation of a life I'd want to be involved in the decision making process.

@masterofthetiger@theres.life I'm also very clearly not the audience those movies are aimed at, so that does need to be said as well.

@masterofthetiger@theres.life that would depend wholly on the message. Most of PureFlix's movies don't do anything for me, but that has to do with my personal belief system not being in line with those often displayed in their products.

As a Jewish person, Christian dramas do nothing for me.

That being said, each piece of media should be weighed on it's own merits.

music posting but also accurate to my life as a cracker that doesnt use sunscreen and lives in the desert.

@root the sun consumes me. Interstellar radiation burns my skiiiin~

@buffaloser Please answer the question, Sir. Can I trust bripe enthusiasts?

DaveTLV boosted

@Surasanji briping isn't a hobby, it's a LIFE- STYLE,,,,

@masterofthetiger@theres.life it probably doesn't help that it's produced by PureFlix. They have a well known bias.

I haven't seen the movie, though, so I'll reserve judgement until or if I see it.

I just know that PureFlix puts out a very specific kind of content with a very specific message behind it. It's not hard to believe they'd have an ulterior motive- perhaps pushing a particular set of beliefs.

Again, that may not be a fair assumption- I haven't seen the movie, so I'm personally reserving judgement- but I can see how people might feel that way given the production company's history.

@Ophillous you should take it easy on the bear. It can only eat so much gravy before it hibernates.

@boobs_idiot@octodon.social freebasing the gay is the preferred method, iirc.
