So this cover album of 70's soft rock hits as sung by Jonathan Coulton is friggin fantastic.

I had no idea they were still a band. I figured they were a late 90s, early 00's thing.

So, as it turns out, The Goo Goo Dolls released an album this year.

Blues-Rock is perhaps one of my favorite styles of music. I'm a big fan of crunch in music, and a lot of this has the kind of crunch I love.

I'm operating on two hours of sleep here, today, so I might talk more about how this music makes me feel or what it makes me think of. Like 'Movie theme' style.

This one has a certain action feel to me. Like a dude who's had it hard looking at the wealthy who earned nothing and getting back at them. Misguided revenge, maybe a vigilante who focus their activity on the wealthy who otherwise get away with crimes. I just see it- this person is in the rain, blood soaked. Bursts into a theater to kick the bejesus out of the wealthy and famous person on stage in front of all their fans.

This is another one of those that makes me think of like drugs for some reason.

Maybe I did a lot of drugs in my earlier years and songs like this were the soundtrack to my days floating fucked up in space.

So- Remake of Link's Awakening.

Let's start at the beginning:

I like the dungeon building thing, but it's lacking in major ways and certainly doesn't add enough to the game to cost an additional $30-$40

Music is fantastic, I love the art style. It did bring me back, but nostalgia isn't really something I can share with others. I love the quality of life improvements- bracelets just work, boots are dedicated button, sword and shield are the same.

I think I'd have liked a 'second quest' instead of a hero's mode. It make a lot more sense if there was a new adventure, like alternate dream or the like. Perhaps adding some of the cut content from the original? That is just wishful thinking, however.

Never trust anyone who spells the name 'Beth' as 'Beyth'.
