I suppose it is similar to using a clichéd phrase. Although it maybe lacks new creative thought it usefully conveys a message because a large proportion of the audience recognise it.
@fitheach I didn't realise I made a mistake when I originally replied to your toot.
I meant to say I couldn't believe it was "STILL" being used.
