The Ukrainian military have completed their training in the use of the Patriot air defense system ahead of schedule. They arrived at the Fort Sill military base in Oklahoma in mid-January, and the Pentagon had said that their training would last several months. However, according to the Ukrainian defense attache to the United States, Borys Kremenetsky, the timeframe was shortened due to the experience of the specialists sent for training. He stated that the specialists had experience with other air defense systems, so they did not need to be trained in the basic elements.
