An activist named Hanul released a video of a woman apologizing after she had been boorishly outraged that the hotel staff were speaking Ukrainian among themselves. She had said that the Ukrainian language was not fashionable and that the girls had changed their shoes, which she deemed a shame. She also added that there had been rubles on their land all her life, not realizing that hryvnias and rubles are the same thing. In her apology, she spoke in the Ukrainian language which she had previously deemed unfashionable.
