The Polish government has decided to launch the largest rearmament of the army in the last 50 years, with plans to spend 4% of its GDP on defense in 2023, twice the NATO requirement. Poland has already placed an order for 1000 K2 tanks from South Korea and 250 Abrams tanks from the United States, making it the largest tank force in Europe. Additionally, Poland plans to strengthen its artillery, purchase HIMARS, AH-64E attack helicopters and combat aircraft, and double the size of its army to 300,000 troops. According to The Telegraph, Poland is setting an example for other countries to follow, not only in terms of weapons, but also in terms of overall development.
