Let's discuss the MiG-29 aircraft that Poland and Slovakia have offered to us. Slovakia has said they will provide us with 13 MiG-29s, while Poland has offered 4, but the head of the Polish president's office has stated that they are willing to give us up to 12 or more fighters. The Polish MiG-29s have been modified with the help of Israel, and they are equipped with an improved positioning system, an onboard computer for pre- and post-operative planning, and a HUD display and a 5x4 multifunctional indicator. The other 13 Polish MiG-29s are a mix of planes received from the Czech Republic and Germany in the 1990s, and they have only been adapted to NATO standards by rescaling the indicators in the radio navigation equipment and communication systems. Slovakia may have delayed the transfer of the MiG-29s until the summer of 2022 in order to modernize them to use Western advanced weapons. The United States is currently researching the possibility of installing medium-range AIM-120 air-to-air missiles on the Ukrainian Air Force's MiG-29 fighters, which are used on Western models of F-16 aircraft.
