After the priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) were evicted from the Kyiv Cave Monastery, icons began to disappear from the site. Journalists attempted to ask the priests where the icons had gone, but none of them provided an answer. Other priests, however, stated that they intend to remove all items from the reserve, apart from the relics, as they believe that all the property, including the icons, belongs to the UOC (MP).
