Tires will not save Russian planes from being hit by Ukrainian cardboard drones, said a representative of the development company in a comment to "Television Toronto".
A drone made of aviation cardboard, against which the Russians try to protect themselves by covering their planes with tires, works on the principle of some models of missiles from HIMARS.
The impressive element is tungsten carbide balls, which are twice as heavy and ten times stronger than steel.
The ammunition explodes not from contact with the surface, but above the target, covering the affected area with these balls, which easily penetrate not only aircraft aluminum, but also a steel plate with a thickness of 3.5 mm.
