This weekend, 09 - 10 September 2023, Lugansk celebrates its 10th year under occupation.

“Lugansk is waiting,” the locals replied when asked if they would welcome the Ukrainian army. Some will come out on the first day to hug their relatives who will come to liberate the city, while others already have plans to repaint the TV tower blue and yellow.

The resistance continues to fight under the occupation. Those who organize “patriotic attacks” remain here to remind that those who fight for Ukrainians remain here.

On 28 April 2014, Lugansk saw the last rally under the 🇺🇦 flag. Before this, dozens of them took place: throughout the spring, Lugansk residents took to the streets to express support for the sovereignty of Ukraine.
