They destroy dummies: how Ukraine forces the Russian Federation to waste shells
Ukrainian Defenders are actively replacing their military equipment on the battlefield with fakes
We introduce @Pravda_Gerashchenko readers to a CNN article about how the Russian army uselessly wastes shells in a war with decoys
Ukrainian D-20 howitzers, American M777 howitzers, mortar barrels, air defense radars - Russian propaganda happily reports about the destruction of Ukrainian equipment. The count goes into hundreds of units. But it’s not real, these are simple dummies.
Ukrainian trick
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively replacing howitzers, tanks, mortars, and radars with mock-ups. Such fakes, firstly, save the lives of Ukrainian Defenders, and secondly, force the occupiers to waste their expensive kamikaze drones, shells and missiles.
If the 155-mm M777 howitzer costs several million dollars, then its copy from ordinary sewer pipes costs no more than a thousand dollars.
Continuous improvement
From the very beginning of a full-scale war, Ukrainian engineers have been creating mock-ups of guns for the needs of our army. Initially, they were not of the best quality and did not attract the attention of the occupiers. But after a year and a half of war, experts learned to make such replicas that from the air they cannot be distinguished from the real target.
If one of the decoy designs no longer attracts the attention of Rushists, then the developers go back to the drawing board to improve their brainchild. As a result, the catalog of counterfeit guns is impressively long and varied.
For decoy creators, what is important is not the number of decoys produced, but the number of destroyed ones. The sooner the traps are destroyed, the better for our Defenders.
