In Hostomel, Russia lost 200 elite specialists during the capture of the airfields, — the commander of the special purpose unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to him, in February 2022, the Russians planned to repeat the scenario with the capture of the airfield, as during the "Pristina attack" in Kosovo in June 1999, as during the unrest in Kazakhstan in early January 2022.

However, in the battles for the Antonov airfield, the aggressor state lost elite specialists who had been participating in this type of training for decades.
