Pumps for nuclear reactors were supplied to Russia: the SBU reported suspicion to the managers of the Sumy plant

This enterprise is part of the structure of the Russian financial and industrial “HMS Group”, which is one of the largest “donors” of the Russian budget.

According to the investigation, after the start of the full-scale invasion, the management of the Sumy plant developed a scheme for supplying Ukrainian products to Russia, bypassing sanctions.

Controlled commercial structures from several countries in Europe and Asia were used for camouflage. Foreign enterprises purchased pumping equipment ostensibly for their own needs, and then transported it to end customers in the Russian Federation.

In addition, the attackers supplied Ukrainian pumping equipment to two Asian countries for the construction of nuclear power plants under the leadership of Rosatom.

As a result of investigative actions, the authorized capital, real and movable property of the Ukrainian plant was seized for a total amount of almost 365 million UAH.

And two factory officials were suspected of collaboration and faced the prospect of spending the next 10 years in prison.
